Show open and studio seating banter
The show opens with the live-from-the-Path intro from the Pathway Studios in Johnston Proper. The hosts joke about seating: one complains about people sitting behind him where he can't see them, and another notes that when he and Mike sit next to each other they say something stupid right as the show starts and laugh where nobody else can enjoy it.

Followed on foot for three blocks downtown
A host tells a story about walking downtown on his lunch break to the Quick Trip and realizing a man had followed him for three blocks, walking much slower yet somehow keeping pace. The hosts riff on it as slasher-film behavior and joke about long strides making people think you're cool, with one teasing the storyteller: 'Hey, Ben, was it by chance Dan that was following behind you and creepily?'
-
Broadcast context and tonight's lineup
The hosts address the audience: live viewers are watching on a Monday evening, while Saturday listeners are hearing the rebroadcast on 99.3 The Truth Network and 'had plenty of time to know better.' They tease the night's lineup: Boova's Pope Style segment and the band Silversyde in the studio.
-
Pope Style preview
The host previews Boova's recurring 'Pope Style' segment and asks for a preview. Boova's preview line: 'youth does not mean you can be irresponsible.' The full segment airs later in the episode, beyond this transcript's coverage.

Silversyde welcomed to the studio
The hosts welcome Silversyde (transcript renders 'Silverside'), described as top-three favorite musical guests, to the studio. They preview the night's plan: catching up with the band, talking about the EP Casting Shadows, and in-studio performances, then pivot to promoting the next night's benefit show.
-
Joppa benefit concert and homeless camp needs
The hosts promote a benefit show the next night, Tuesday July 14th at 7 o'clock at 6523 Merle Hay Road in Johnston, where Silversyde will play and proceeds go to Joppa, which serves the homeless. Boova describes needs at the flooded river camps: water bottles, bug spray (a prized commodity, he says people hug him more for bug spray than for a tent), four-man tents, green and brown tarps, and non-perishable food. A suggested donation of five dollars is mentioned; attendees are asked to bring whatever they can.

The story behind the Casting Shadows EP
A Silversyde member recounts how Casting Shadows was originally planned for 2014 with a commissioned local producer, but 'it just wasn't God's timing': the band shelved a fully mastered album they had paid for (all the money they had at the time) because musically it wasn't right, though lyrically it was solid. Fans responded graciously to the honest press release about the delay. The EP finally released in March of this year; the vocalist says he walked out of the studio with walking pneumonia, and bandmate Nate and their producer wrote drum parts and accents for a heavier sound than their first album, Circus.
-
Fan reaction to the delayed album
The band reports the response to Casting Shadows has been overwhelmingly positive, with only one fan messaging that he liked their previous album better. The hosts joke at the fan's expense ('you're an idiot... by the way'), then walk it back with a shrug about differing tastes.
-
Mike and Boova's takes on the EP
The host turns to Mike, addressed by name, for his take on the album. Mike says it encapsulates what Silversyde does well, singles out the track 'Anthem' as a straight-up rocker, and jokes he'd put it on while shooing ten deer out of his backyard with a shovel. Boova (called 'Boobie') agrees and one-ups him: twenty deer and a shovel on fire. The transcript cuts off mid-sentence here.
